DIY gifts

A lot of people stress about the perfect present. How much money does the perfect present cost?

For some, the answer varies because the materials to buy hand-made gifts varies. But the heart and thought that goes into a handmade gift can mean more than an item money can just buy.

I unfortunately didn’t have the time to personally make these items. To check out the ideas I gathered, check out my Pinterest (board Looks Like Christmas)

  1. Personalized spa kit

For the one in your life who stresses too much or loves a good pampering, creating a DIY or personalized treat-yoself-kit is a thoughtful present. You can get a basket, either wire or wood, and fill it with tissue paper and bath bombs to create the perfect pampering. Try to gather the person’s favorite scents or create a theme with it. For example, You can make one candy or sweets themed, a day at the beach themed, winter themed, etc.

  1. Baked goods

Honestly, you cannot go wrong with baking. Everyone loves food. And now there are vegan and sugar-free options for those who used to not to be able to enjoy these baked goodies. Just be wary of those and allergies as well. Making a well-decorated platter with fresh-baked goods on it will brighten anyones day.

  1. Mason jar crafts/food

Mason jars are great for creating recipes in a jar (cupcake in a jar, hot chocolate kit, chili kit, just to name a few) or even decorations or other crafts. They can be good for housewarming gifts, snow globes, candle holders, you name it. Mason jars are just good for everything.

  1. Knitted items

I myself have no idea how to knit. But for those of you who do or are interested in learning, a knitted gift is definitely a thoughtful do-it-yourself. Hats, gloves, and scarves are in demand this season and what better way to say “stay warm” than to knit them one.

  1. Handmade ornaments and/or decorations

Besides the mason jars, there are other gifts you can create. Nice centerpieces, wreaths, ornaments, there are so many things to create for holidays. Just make sure whatever you make will fit into the receiver’s home.

There are many more create gifts to give. Some might require some more artistic talent, but most of these ideas I gave are things anyone can do. And handmade gifts are a thoughtful way to show someone you were thinking about them by spending time to create them something.

Anyone making anything for presents this year? I want to know what you make! Tweet me pictures @renadeer using the #DIYChristmas.
