I am late with everything, but I have finally put together the Fall 2017 Lookbook! These are just a few comfy, casual, autumnal outfits I put together.
I don’t tend to wear brown or mustard-like colors, but I liked this sweater enough to give the color a try. It’s cropped, cowl neck, and a very cozy knit. The leggings are high-waisted so I don’t have exposed skin when it gets cold. And of course, my cold weather staple, my taupe over-the-knee boots.
Something about fall makes you want to read more. I like to lounge around in cozy socks, and this outfit can be loungewear or a cute casual outfit. The lace front on the cream sweater makes it more dress-up-able, but its low-key enough to not be too dressy.
I didn’t realize my boots got cut off in the picture! Anyway, they are just black suede chelsea boot-type boots. This black sweater dress has cutouts that make it a little more daring than the typical sweet get-up sweater dresses typically are.
The blue top is actually a blazer-type shirt with the back cutout so the floral underpart can show through. I really liked this design because it takes a plain blazer and makes the outfit pop. Of course, I kept the rest of the outfit lowkey with some black leggings and those taupe boots from earlier so nothing takes away from the back.
I did not take a good picture of this outfit, but at least in this one you can see my attempt at blending eyeshadow. So the tank is a sweater material, the jeans are fitted and high-waisted, not that they need to be with this outfit, these are just the only black pair of jeans I own. And the special feature: velvet combat boots. I saw these in Target and HAD to have them. Probably the coolest boots I own right now.
Don’t know why my silly outfit came out as a serious picture. On those days you are feeling cheesy Halloween-y, grab a pair of orange leggings with black cats on them, pair it with a black tee, and throw on some cats ears. Cozy, cute, and cats, what more can you want?
For when I want to get a little more dressed up, I paired this black sweater with lace-up stitching over the collar bone over a burgundy pencil skirt with my black suede ankle boots. I liked this outfit a lot more than I thought I would. Work appropriate, date appropriate, just slaying the day appropriate.
Featured that black sweater tank again and paired it with a green and black skirt I got forever ago at Forever 21. If I had black thigh highs I would have worn those, or if I had the same shade of green in the skirt … But hey, this works too. Thrown on some boots, and this outfit is done and ready.
When you are feeling a little distressed about what outfit to wear, you can never go wrong with just a sweater, jeans, and boots. I figured since I had holes in one, might as well complete the disheveled look.
I am terrible with describing outfits, but I wanted to share some of my personal style with you. It’s pretty casual, and I always put comfort over style. The thing I am loving most in my closet right now is that pair of velvet combat boots. What’s your favorite fall find?
